Bug Description
Binary package hint: gtwitter
From the comments on http://
Dependency is not satisfiable: libgconf2.0-cil (>= 2.24.0)
Attempting to install libgconf2.0-cil - Error: Breaks exisiting package 'libgconf2.24-cil' conflict: libgconf2.0-cil ( )
Dependency is not satisfiable: libgnome-vfs2.0-cil (>= 2.24.0)
Installed: libgnome-
Update: I dismantled the Karmic package from
http://
Altered the dependency list, repackaged with:
dpkg -b ~/gtwitter_
All now works well. I didn't alter the maintainer details in the control file and haven't uploaded .debs anywhere before. So I'm hoping a maintainer can do this because the current version in Ubuntu releases < Karmic is broken and unable to connect to servers
Relevant fix in beta-9:
[ Mirco Bauer ]
* debian/
+ Twitter doesn't allow POST requests for fetch operation anymore.
This made the package unusable and thus urgency set to medium.
(Closes: #524489)
It connects fine now but appears there's a time bug:
Interprets minutes as days, e.g. someone posted a twitter 28 minutes ago but gtwitter reports "28 days ago"
Interprets hours as x10 days, e.g. 4hours ago = "46 days ago")
Interprets seconds as days
I don't know if this was present in the original karmic package. If it was I'll submit a separate bug report. If not I guess changing the dependencies has screwed this up.
