Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtodo

I use
- Ubuntu 11.04 64 Bit
- GNOME 2.32.1
- gtodo (amd64) package and German translation

Some fields and phrases are not translated yet, such as "High Priority" and "Low Priority". Also, the german translation in the top menu seems to break keyboard shortcuts. For example, to get a new task, according to the text in the menu, the shortcut should be Alt+A (add entry). This however opens the "View" menu, which is called "Ansicht" in German. Same thing with Alt+E (should be "edit entry"). This one opens the "Entry" menu. Alt+R (Remove Entry) works because there is no menu item with that shortcut.

Suggestion: Use CTRL+N, CTRL+A,... instead of ALT+* for the "Entry" Menu. The only conflict I see would be CTRL+E ("edit entry" and "edit categories"). I'd suggest CTRL+C to edit categories.

I could have I look into that myself, but I don't know where to start. I have some other suggestions to improve the tool. If someone could tell me where to go (Ubuntu, Debian, original developer?) and give me a hint (link) on how to create/test/send a patch for a Debian/Ubuntu package, I'd be happy to get going.

Regards

Very trivial patch. The top menu Alt+* shortcuts will be altered and perhaps be less intuitive. However, the Alt+A and Alt+E shortcuts will be working, and those are the ones people use frequently.

My suggestion from the previous post (using CTRL+A to create a new entry) wasn't really mature because you normaly need that one to "Select all".

While I'm at it: some improved translation. This patch for po/de.po includes the previous one.
