Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-gnome

I have been using kubuntu for quite a time, then decided to move to ubuntu and installed ubuntu-desktop package. Now when I boot in GNOME, the OpenOffice menus and buttons are not drawn properly (or even at all) until I hover the mouse cursor over them.

This problem is not there when I boot into KDE and run OpenOffice, but it's back when I boot in GNOME.

Do you use gtk2-engines-qt perhaps?

Right. I have already solved this problem by deleting a couple of files from my home directory, but should the ubuntu-desktop package not take care of it when installing?
