All applications with GtkHeaderBar have margin outside window.

This also affects gnome-shell/adwaita, and even Unity, although its less obvious in the latter and just occurs as white corners where the headerbar corners are rounded.

Its a regression from the fix in bug 1515561

3.19.* version doesn't have this bug. (tested with this PPA : https://launchpad.net/~ricotz/+archive/ubuntu/testing)

Version 3.18.5-1ubuntu2 from proposed fixes this issue partially. In order to work, the window manager needs to support compositing, otherwise we now get a black margin outside the window (cf. attached screenshot).

No it doesn't. The issue still exits on 3.18.6-1ubuntu1. On Unity, now it has black corner (visible with radiance). Although, squared cornered themes like Numix doesn't have this issue.
