Bug Description
If the extension is disabled I'm able to access items which does not have accelerators by typing their first letter. Maybe this is a gnome/gtk issue, because they have the same problem, but firefox interface does not.
* For instance, if I wanted to go to the "Recently Closed Tabs" using the keyboard:
Steps to reproduce:
1) Access the history menu by typing 'alt+s'
2) Pressing 'R' does not take you to "Restore Previous Session", "Recently Closed Tabs" or "Recently Closed Windows"
Expected Behavior: (extension disabled)
1) Access the history menu by typing 'alt+s'
2) Pressing 'R' switches between "Restore Previous Session", "Recently Closed Tabs" or "Recently Closed Windows", because they all start with 'R', even though they don't have menu accelerators assigned to them.
This needs to be supported by whatever is rendering the menu and handling events (in this case, Unity). However, I'm not even sure that gtk supports this feature. I think it was a Gecko only feature, so you're probably pretty much out of luck to have that supported again
