Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-main-menu

I installed the "Audio creation and editing suite" packages and in the "Sound & Video" item at the main-menu (the icon, not the bar), appears a lot of applications that not fit on the screen, and when I try to select one of the last, I'm unable to do it, because the menu goes to top.

Sorry by my English.

I can also confirm this
If a menu is too long, the hidden icons are accessible using the little down arrow button at the bottom of the menu, when I mouse over that arrow it scrolls down the menu list so I can access the hidden icons, however as soon as I mouse over a previously hidden icon the menu snaps back to the top making the icon inaccessible again. Keyboard selection using arrow keys works thought.

This is about the gnome-panel, not the gnome-main-menu. The gnome-main-menu package contains the menu developed by Novell for SUSE (http://www.novell.com/communities/files/u7814/menu_default.png); and not the menu you are talking about.

affects: gnome-main-menu (Ubuntu) → gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
