When saving a file with nautilus, typing on the keyboard immediately (as in, to enter the name of the file you want to save) starts a quicksearch of the open directory, instead of entering the filename. This is incredibly annoying, as nautilus even highlights the presumed filename's "name" part (as in, "untiled" is highlighted in "untitled.py"), giving the full-on impression that if you type right now, it'll happily accept it instead of jumping around your folder to find a non-existent file. |
