Bug Description
For example: during the Ubuntu installation when the time-zone selection window appearing or when I would like to change keyboard layout in the installed system, I can't select e.g.: Hungary by type "H" (it should jump to the first line starting with "H" when I press it), I only can select the country manually and it's very annoying when the list is very long.
It's a very old missing feature in gnome. KDE, MAC, and Windows already have for ages.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.
feature request is not part of the papercut project.
For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/PaperCut
Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project
