Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

I'm using Ubuntu Intrebid Ibex (8.10) with latest updates, checked a few mins ago.
gnome-utils package which contains gnome-screenshot is version 2.24.1-0ubuntu1.

I tried to take a screenshot with the right click menu active by pressing the print screen key, nothing happened.
After clicking somewhere on the screen and so closing the menu, the print screen button works and gnome-screenshot opens as intented (only the bug with window borders remains, will raport this too) and takes the shot. Tried opening the right click menu again and again, nothing happens after clicking the print screen button.

In my opinion, the gnome-screenshot should open no matter what system state is (ie. is full screen programs running or so, maybe just minimized then but so that it is possible to take the shot).

Ways to reproduce:
1) Press print screen, gnome-screenshot opens, close it.
2) Right click on top menu bar
3) Press print screen and nothing happens
4) Click somewhere on the screen to close the menu
5) Press print screen and gnome-screenshot opens again.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find.

That's not a bug, gtk grabs the key events for the menu use

Changed in gnome-utils:
assignee: nobody → desktop-bugs
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid
