Bug Description
How to reproduce:
1. Open gimp.
2. Create some graphics.
3. Choose save as. Then choose file type.
Result: the dialog becomes so big that I cannot press Save.
This cannot be corrected with pressing file type again, since the dialog is
bigger than before.

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of Ubuntu and gimp do you use? Could
you provide us with a screenshot. I don't fully understand, what the issue is,
following your steps, I was able to save the picture. What is your screen
resolution?
