[Hardy a5] Dropdown lists at bottom of screen drawn incorrectly

Bug Description

Using Hardy alpha 5 with all updates current at of 11:00 CST on March 4, 2008. Menu lists brought up at the bottom of the screen create empty space above the default selection. I am including a screen capture. This is an issue that was reported in previous releases (#64631) and marked as Fixed, but I guess not fixed in Hardy.

This is also an issue for Hardy alpha 6.
