Bug Description
Binary package hint: gedit
In Gedit, Scribes, and probably any other program that uses the same GTK text area for it's editing buffer, copy-and-paste by highlighting the source and then middle clicking at the destination only works if you leave the source text highlighted. Deselecting the source text clears the middle-click-pase buffer, so if no text is selected, none will be pasted.
This is inconsistent with the behavior of most programs, and causes a fair amount of annoyance.

Thank you for your bug. That's the way the xorg clipboard works, with what program does it work correctly?
