I tried reproduce this bug on Ubuntu gutsy and Gentoo (gnome-experimental overlay) and Rawhide, but It can reproduce on gutsy only.

And I tried reproduce this bug on vanilla gtk+ (29 Sep HEAD) but it can't reproduce.

It seems a bug related with ubuntu gutsy specified patch.

Other information:
When locale is C or en_US.UTF-8, never happened. but when locale is ko_KR.UTF-8
or ja_JP.UTF-8, it can reproduce sometimes.

Could you describe easy steps to trigger the bug and attach the video to the bug? What version of libgtk2.0-0 do you have?

I'll attach a tarball contains some file contents that used in test.

You must enter other directory in filechooser before Drag'n drop.

thank you for the details. Do you have any issue with attaching the video to launchpad? This way we know that the information will stay available

I can easily and reliably reproduce it on Hardy with almost any Gtk application (Firefox and OpenOffice, too).

* Start eog, evince, or gedit
* Choose File -> Open (Ctrl-O)
* From nautilus, drag any file on the Location text widget
* Get some error. With gedit or eog, the error message includes the file name. For example: "No images found in '/home/danilo/file:/home/danilo/Examples/kubuntu-leaflet.png'."

Using libgtk2.0-0 version 2.12.9-3ubuntu2 with it_IT.UTF-8 locale.
