Bug Description

On some pictures program segfaults. Did not find any workaround for this. Except for editing+resaving photo.

The same bug happen on both my PCs. Both were Ubuntu 11.10, recently upgraded to 12.04. Platform is x64, CPU Core2Duo. 4GB RAM. Desktop environment - xorg+Windowmaker. Otherwise both PCs are rock stable. Before upgrade to Precise, files opened fine. Tried another user account on both PCs - problem persists.

I have many such photos. Here is an example (5MB).

Used gdb on core file and it said:

Core was generated by `gthumb /home/ftp/img/2009_07_buryatia/rok/'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

- auto-tagging
- auto-folder using a custom filter (that wrked for years).
- same final backtrace frame

gthumb version:

ii gthumb 3:2.14.3-0ubuntu1 image viewer and browser
ii gthumb-data 3:2.14.3-0ubuntu1 image viewer and browser - arch-independent files

Problem fixed without upgrading gthumb to the ppa level. The error was likely fixed by a dependency library that was updated via usual Ubuntu updates. I believe that this bug can be closed.
