Bug Description

Binary package hint: gthumb

in: Ubuntu 9.10
gthumb: 3:2.10.11-1ubuntu1

While I was processing an image (cut/crop and tried to save) I was scanning (with xsane 0.996) in parallel images which were saved in the same folder.
Obviously I somehow saved my work in another filename! Means: Afterwards I got the same image in 2 files, and lost 1 scan.
I was hard for me to reproduce, but I expierenced it several times.
It is lke this: while being in the window for cutting, another image was loaded in the background. So at the point when i wanted to save my change, it was somehow processed to another image.
In general one can say: gthumb reacts very sensitive when adding files/pictures to the folder you are currently working in. (For me it seems like it is handling the files in some kind of internal cache/list/whatever which screws up if addidng files?)
(e.g. if I am in a diashow and adding a picture, gthumb stops the diashow)
