Bug Description
Binary package hint: gthumb
Used camera: Nikon D50, camera stores orientation information in EXIF data.
Plugging a mass storage card into a card reader brings up gthumb. Starting "import" of photos while "rotate" is activated does not rotate the pictures any more. Instead all vertical images are imported as they are: EXIF data still contains information about rotation as on the original mass storage card.
In Feisty this worked perfectly. Images have been rotated while imported and the EXIF orientation tag was reseted so even EXIF-unaware application displayed the images correctly.
Choosing Tools->Rotate images on the other hand still works correctly.

Thanks for your report, that works fine in my installation with my Canon camera, not confirming.
