Note that this is not a dupe of #6036 which was fixed and shortcuts were working fine in Feisty. This one has regressed in Gutsy.

I'm not very familiar with Ubuntu's policy on propagating such fixes into a distribution updates. Will the fixed gthumb appear in some Gutsy update soon or it will be deferred until the next release?

I don't know when 2.10.7 will be released by the main gthumb developer (but it will probably be in the next week or two, I would guess), and I don't know when Ubuntu will pick it up. I don't control releases.

If it is important to you, and you know how, you can check the new version out of svn and compile it yourself.

Wouter, can you clarify, please: this http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/gthumb says that gthumb in intrepid is still of version 2.10.6 while the fixed upstream version is 2.10.7?
