Bug Description

My laptop is ASUS F3Sv-AK143C.

Here is the result of some commands :

this is bug 85113 ... the other traces you get are due to out-of-memory. No idea why you get that, but its almost certainly unrelated.

I forgot to give my /etc/network/interfaces file:

auto wlan0

If I add wpa-driver madwifi :

This bug is not related to gthumb. It is a NetworkManager bug. Marking invalid for gthumb as I don't see a way to completely remove gthumb as an affected package.

I wanted to try the intel driver :

There is no "source" folder in the kernel folder, I don't know why (I have linux-headers-... installed).

Now, it works with knetworkmanager in DHCP (with a clean install of kubuntu gutsy).
But in a static way, same problem...

only dhcp setups are supported by network-manager. Static interface configuration will not be network manager managed until at least 0.7 - which might or might not happen in time for hardy.
