Bug Description

I have a dvd (batman begins) that is encoded with Dolby Digital. I have selected 5.1 in Totem's audio property tab, but upon playing the movie, I can see in pavucontrol and in totem's media property dialog that it is only being decoded as stereo. If I play the same dvd with mplayer or vlc it is correctly decoded into 5.1.

HOWEVER:

Some dvds do correctly decode into 5.1. The one that worked for me is "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (brendan fraser). Encoded with dolby digital, but totem decided to decode this one correctly.

Am I missing some libraries or something? ubuntu-restricted-extras is installed and so are all of the gstreamer plugins. I'm assuming this is a bug, so thus this report :)
