Bug Description
I know the cd worked before because I downloaded an unbuntu boot disk that I had downloaded on my other laptop. I can't get the cd to read pictures and the dvd player wont play dvd's. It is my son's laptop, the operating system crashed and so did the hard drive. I had to put in a different hard drive and did a total install with ubuntu. Not experienced with ubuntu at all but trying to get through it. It now play utube clips since a recent down load, but I have tried several players and still no luck. It appears that my cd/dvd player doesnt have a master/slave that I can switch (read that somewhere). Not sure what to do, can you help. Not sure if gstreamer0.10 is what i have it just appeared up there in the box.

I'm not very good with all this kernel stuff and such so you have to really dummy it down for me and hopefully attach links I can just click on, sorry and thanks in advance. Hopefully I can learn enough about ubuntu to get my kids hooked on it.
