banshee, moving sound control slider creates noise

Bug Description
When moving the sound control slider in banshee, it creates noise. The best way to hear it is to move the slider between lowest and maximum level.
This does not happen if using the sound control applet in the system bar.

Could you describe the noise, please? I can't seem to reproduce it on my system.
