Bug Description

When moving the sound control slider in banshee, it creates noise. The best way to hear it is to move the slider between lowest and maximum level.

This does not happen if using the sound control applet in the system bar.

Could you describe the noise, please? I can't seem to reproduce it on my system.

It's almost like when dust settles on (under) the sound volume knob for older sound systems. If those got "dusty" one would hear "scratches" as they were adjusting volume levels.

Reassigning to gstreamer, since that's what's used for volume control.
