Noise while seeking

When I seek the mp3 file, there is additional loud noise during the seek process.

Thanks for the report, using the crossfading backend? do you get the same on totem?

Hi,

Thanx for the response ............

I am not using crossfading in rythmbox. The noise comes both when
crossfading is enabled or disabled.

I get the noise in totem also.

I dont get the noise in VLC though.

I have this problem also. It seems there are two separate problems:

1. There is a ckrtsch noise when seeking. This problem is in gstreamer.

2. Totem seeks immediately while you drag the slider instead of playing normally until you drop the slider, and then seek once. This problem is in Totem. Of course, the consequences of this misbehavior are magnified due to problem 1.
