Bug Description

I'm running Muine from CVS and when I run it with the gstreamer-0.10 backend, it spits this error at me and does not start:

jonah@bullit:~/cvs/muine$ muine

ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file:
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstaudioresample.so

Please either:
- remove it and restart.
- run with --gst-disable-segtrap and debug.

Running it with --gst-disable-segtrap has no effect. To be honest, I'm not sure if this is to be blamed on the Muine gstreamer code, or on gstreamer itself, but I had to file it.

This also happens when I attempt to start last-exit, leading me to think that either the two programs share some buggy code, or that it is truly a gstreamer bug.

I now think this to be my fault (surprise). I removed the complaining libraries (which may have been left over from an install from source, instead of dapper packages) and now everything is fine.

This is the same problem... it doesn't seem to be related to installing things from source yourself but using the wrong CPU ;) do you have an pentium 4 or pentium m? Please let's continue the discussion in the other bug...

Should be fixed with liboil 0.3.7-0ubuntu4
Please reopen when you have this problem again
