Totem locks up right after clicking play on a dvd menu.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 32bit (clean install) with totem 3.4.3-0ubuntu5. I have all appropriate codecs installed. When I put in a dvd the menu comes up fine but when I click on play, on the dvd menu, it immediately locks up. I don't think it's a hardware issue because everything worked fine when I had 12.04 installed...Thanks!
