Bug Description

The current version of gSTM can only be minimised to the legacy system tray by clicking on its icon in the legacy system tray. Since this is disabled by default in Unity, the only option is to minimise it to the launcher. It is currently possible to whitelist the application, but this results in inconsistency in behaviour (you cannot 'scrub' across to it) and an ugly icon.

It would be far more useful to have an application indicator, an example being that used by Transmission, whereby the gSTM window could be hidden by clicking the close button and then shown again by clicking on an application indicator and then selecting show.t
