Bug Description

Binary package hint: gstm

I understand that you guys want to destroy and obliterate the notification area, but that means that many programs will have to be modified to fit the new system.

gSTM is one program that I use every day, for a number of purposes. I keep it running nearly 24/7, and do not wish it to take up space in my task bar... Or in the new side bar in Unity, for that matter. However, the lack of a notification area in Ubuntu 11.04 makes this difficult, or impossible.

All I'm asking is that you modify this utility to make use of the new menu system, much like Tomboy notes and Amarok have done. I don't know how to do it myself, otherwise I would, but it doesn't seem like it'd be a difficult modification to make.

I have also noticed that it seems this program has been unmodified since 2006.
