Hershey Font breaks Xubuntu Destop and Applications

Bug Description

After choosing the Hershey font in the appearance settings, fonts on all applications got corrupted. Some critical applications like Thunar refused to launch.

The only to fix the desktop was to manually edit ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xsettings.xml manully in the terminal, setting line 27 to:
<property name="FontName" type="string" value="Sans 10"/>

After a reboot everything went back to normal.

As it seems the Hershey fonts are corrupted, as they show already scrambled in the preview of the font chooser.
