gscan2pdf cannot be started again after it crashed (error in line 433)

Bug Description
Gscan2pdf crashed and cannot be started again. Trying to start it at prompt produces the following output:

A workaround would be to edit the ~/.gscan2pdf file and delete the session field.
If you don't mind losing your settings, just deleting the ~/.gscan2pdf would also solve the problem.
Or upgrade to the latest version.
