Bug Description

Binary package hint: gs-esp

I use a remote network camera that uses Java for video and time keeping in the single user mode. There have been new releases in both browser apps and in Java. I'm not sure which is at fault.

Try to switch to GPL Ghostscript using the commands

sudo apt-get install gs-gpl
sudo update-alternatives --config gs

and select gs-gpl in the menu which appears. Does this solve your problem?

If you cannot print any more now, either switch back to ESP Ghostscript with

sudo update-alternatives --config gs

and choose gs-esp or install the new distribution-independent package of the merger of ESP and GPL Ghostscript, as shown here:

http://www.openprinting.org/download/printing/esp-gpl-ghostscript-merge/README

Please report your results here.

Changed in gs-esp:
status: Unconfirmed → Needs Info
