cannot boot in kvm 0.14.1 - unaligned pointer

Bug Description

After install in kvm the vm would not boot complaining about unaligned pointer.

pxelinux works

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
