some junk claimed to crash right as the installer started. Dell Inspriron 6400 laptop. Installer and everything else is still up and running. Just seemed like it hard a hard time detecting the hard drive parameters?

My Bad, totally forgot the reason I'm installing is because I hosed my OS partition by running fsck -y / from the system while it was live *Grin*. I'm almost sure that partition being torn up is the cause of the issue. Please kick this report out, I'll file something of worth if I experience a more legitimate issue.
