Failure of grub-update with raid devices

Binary package hint: grub2

Due to failure of grub probe to find raid devices. Net effect is grub.cfg cannot be updated with release of new kernels.

Problem showed up with release of linux-image-2.6.35-21-generic

Linux software RAID (mdadm) or SATA RAID (also known as DM-RAID or fakeRAID)?

Net effect - not able to update or fix dpendencies
