Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
After upgrading by automatic upgrade I received a new kernel version: Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.32-22-generic
However after reboot, my dual boot system does NOT have the windows choice any more and is only able to boot with linux.
This issue repeats on my other system.
Can be solved by manual add the windows part into : /boot/grub/grub.cfg
However this seams NOT to be the right solution. Entrie can be lost again after new updates or after running: update-grub
But for quick solution, updating grup.cfg helps.
Problem can be repeated by installing xubuntu 10.04 and updating the system with patches.
Same problem and luckely some solution. Just save you /boot/grub/grub.cfg file to somewere.
Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
