Bug Description

Binary package hint: grub2

grub installed incorrectly after a normal update that ubuntu wanted to do. During this update the same question was asked twice: "do you want to update grub. the current version is locally modified and updating it might stuff it up" (or somethng along those lines). I answered differently each time - once I answered "yes, I want to update grub" and the second "no, I don't". Now grub has two identical entries for ubuntu, two identical for memtest, and once when I selected that i wanted to boot MS Windows, it booted ubuntu anyway. And it showed a little window in ubuntu after starting up that "grub failed to install" (or something like that). Help! How do I fix up grub to make it work like it used to!!!??
