Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.10 all updates as of Dec 14, 2009

Grub2

Dell duel core 2.8

Grub to shows "Grub Loading." for 15 to 25 seconds before loading boot menu.
The system has two hard drives and three operating systems.

I have tried reinstalling grub2 and using the default setting as well as a couple of splash menus. This made no difference. The "search for operating systems" has also been disabled without changing the long boot time.

It often takes grub2 longer to load the grub menu than it takes Ubuntu to load.
