[karmic] grub does not show other operating systems, nevertheless they are listed in grub.cfg

Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub
Kubuntu Karmic alpha 3.
System has Ubuntu installed on LVM and Windows on a separate partition. Until Karmic all Ubuntu installs had no problems to detect Windows.
In Karmic, GRUB does not give Windows on the list of bootable systems. However, Windows seems to be listed in /boot/grub/
