after every update of karmic the grub.cfg file contains the entry --no floppy which prevents booting up on a laptop, since there is no floppy. I must edit the file each time.

Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub
Described above. The same file grub.cfg is installed with the entry --no floppy with every upgrade. This entry prevents booting until altered on the safe boot option. When I edit the actual file it changes back to the original on update. I have a laptop and no floppy.
