Bug Description
My Karmic alpha 2 VM went through another partial dist upgrade today(Tue 23 June) but Grub now fails and says
error: unknown argument '--no floppy'
I asked an associate and they said that,
"There was an old kernel bug that would basically cause funny behavior if the floppy disk module was loaded, so people, for years, would load their kernels with a 'no floppy' option. This is probably no longer valid."
I can't figure out how to get to
/boot/grub/menu.lst
to change this option.
It's no big deal but I thought you'd like to know.

Hi Anzan, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better! This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Bugs/ FindRightPackag e. I have classified this bug as a bug in grub2.
