I get an error from grub on boot 'No server sprcified, No suitable video mode found' And the plymouth splash doesn't come up. But it is visible during shutdown, not at boot time.

Bug Description
I filed a similar bug report under plymouth since I was not sure where exactly the problem was.
I tried editing /etc/default/grub various ways but without any change except when I changed the grub mode to text only. The errors went away then but the system is still minus the graphical splash.
