Bug Description
On ThinkPad W530, after BIOS details, nothing is displayed until login screen.
Booting works, including entering password for an encrypted partition (but nothing is shown on screen).
13.04 works fine.

This looks similar, but it's 2yrs old. For me, 13.04 was working fine. /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ grub2/+ bug/805086
