Bug Description
During the upgrade to 1.04 the installation package hung after trying to generate the grub.cfg file.
The update manager output listed all found packages, got to memtest and stopped.
I cleared the stop by looking at the 'ps aux' command output and killed the 'grub-mount' PID and this let the update continue.
This happened 3 times during the install, presumably because the grub install was not complete.
Finally the install finish and reported that 'grub-pc' couls not be installed. and after the cleanup would not reboot from the update program. I killed the update and restarted manually.
Luckily grub worked on reboot and had picked up 12.04 and the 3.2.0-25 kernal and generated this bug report.
Its 3am now so I am not going to try apt-get for grub.
Thank you
Steve
