linux kernel 2.6.28-13-generic does not boot

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

I have just update kernell with update manager from 2.6.28-11-generic to 2.6.28-13-generic.
When I select this kernell to boot from grub, it shows a message something like "bad executable...." ant returns to boot menu. I don't have problems to boot 2.6.28-11 then.

I was experiencing exactly the same problem.

Running grub-install by hand fixed it for me.

outdated report & no more maintained distro; please send a new one if that issue still exist (using ubuntu-bug)
