Bug Description
package linux-image-
I'm running Intrepid 8.10.
Reproducing:
Make any change to your /boot/grub/
Start the update manager.
The kernel upgrade will be there. Click "Install updates".
When it asks what it should do about the changed file, choose "Open a terminal to examine the situation".
In the terminal (that one hidden on the update manager), call "exit".
It will crash.

Doesn't seem to be an actual kernel bug. Reassigning to grub for now.
