Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub
installed 9.04, won't boot: "G Hard Drive Error" - so I booted a live cd to try and diagnose.
sudo grub, get prompt
grub> root (hd0,0)
grub> kernel /vmlinuz Segmentation fault (core dumped)
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$
tried with different devies, smaller partitions, etc - no luck:
grub> root (hd0,1)
grub> kernel /
Possible files are: lost+found System.

Installed again, this time creating a 40mb ext2 partition for /boot. now the system boots, but still crashes when runing the steps:
