Bug Description

The installation process went perfectly well even using LVM or normal ext3 partition.

The only problem that we encounter is after restarting the server, we are using IBM Blade HS21 on IBM S Chassis Blade (ATi ES 1000), SAS Drive.

All local and network drive found and reformatted as ext3.

After restarting it doesnt boot up only a blinking cursor shows up.

Even tried the x64 version.

The weird part of this is SUSE works perfectly well. We also tried Debian latest release and Several version of Ubuntu both x86 and x64, the installer process is ok the only problem is after the restart process. it cant boot. just a blinking cursor

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
