Hello Canonical
Is there any updates on this? Thanks!

I had mentioned this in the meeting last time, but don't seen an update here... but a couple things:

1:IIRC this is the latest generation server and XCC with the latest XCC and UEFI firmware. Does this ALSO happen on the last generation hardware with older versions of XCC and UEFI firmware?

2. On this machine, what is the graphics device (most servers use something like an MGA G200, but I know you also have some machines that use Intel client CPUs (the Server versions of client platforms) that use the intel graphics device, IIRC. So what is the graphics device here, for clarity. (I see it is an SR650 V3, so I resume it's the Matrix G200, but wanted to confirm that).

Hello Jeff,

We have verified several different platform machines(with their own different firmware), and they can all reproduce this issue,

Platform Reproduce VGA
INTEL BHS Y ASPEED AST2600
INTEL Whitley Y MGA G200e
INTEL EGS Y ASPEED AST2600
AMD GENOA/Turin Y ASPEED Graphics Family

At the same time, we also verified 22.04.4 on Whitley and it is normal.

Hi, Canonical
I found a patch that probably fix this issue at https://lore.kernel.org/grub-devel/bylepfpzccehr3f6gn7audumoajlnwjh3bbqxp3t4sxojnn4gb@h3htioup3vkx/T/#ma8c94acdd72787138c062a484b83d2804f4b9b2f
Could you please backport to your grub at your earliest convenient? so that we can have a try! thanks!
