Ok, I wrote a long story and launchpad failed to save it. Long story short, last time I was trying to install on btrfs while the old version of grub(Ubuntu had an old version) in Ubuntu didn't have support for it.
This time, I tried to install grub on /dev/sdb which was the USB Stick. The older installers by default were selecting /dev/sda, the HDD, and I didn't pay attention this time, that's why it failed...

Changed in grub-installer (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
