Bug Description
System Specs
CPU: i5 2400
RAM: 8 GB @ 1333 MHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3
GPU: EVGA GTX 570
Hard Drives: Two Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ in RAID 0 configuration (using onboard Intel RAID controller, not dedicated controller)
DVD Drive: Some generic drive I ripped out of an HP/Compaq machine. Uses SATA interface.
I've installed Ubuntu on loads of machines but this is the first time I've installed it on a computer with RAID configuration. I'm still new to the whole RAID business but I figured I'd try it out and it's been working fine for a year now on Windows 7. It's probably something I did wrong on my end with the hardware setup so I'm gonna try a few things. It might be worth mentioning that I also installed the Windows 8 Developer Preview (from back in August of last year I think) but deleted it after a couple months. I have yet completely wipe my disks because I don't have enough backup storage to mirror the data to another drive (built this system last summer before hard drive prices skyrocketed from the flooding in Thailand).
