Bug Description

Grub insists on ruining windows installs and crashes if i try to force it to install it where it belongs..

It will happily install on any device with windows and ruin my windows installation and fail to load itself..

running it manually after the installer crashes yields this:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo grub-install /dev/sdb1
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot find a device for /boot/grub (is /dev mounted?).
