grub-installer: statusexplanation |
Workaround: don't use an XFS root filesystem. grub has trouble with that on many systems. |
This band-aids around the problem a bit. It would obviously be nice to warn about this at the partman stage, though; I believe we have a bug report open about that for the alternate installer, and fixing that would address this too.
grub-installer (1.14ubuntu5) dapper; urgency=low
* Don't fall over if installing to an XFS root filesystem in
noninteractive mode (closes: Malone #46764).
